What is the secret of Trulli del Bosco?

Some days ago we did an experiment that really surprised us.

Thanks to a software we’ve gathered all reviews written about Trulli del Bosco this year, to know what were the most used words to describe Trulli del Bosco.

We would have expected: “relax”, “nature”, “trulli”, “welcome” or “wood” … but with big surprise and happiness we found out  how our dedication and care to each of our guests is recognized by all…

Thank you

Here are what guests tell about us:

“What an amazing experience! The group of Trullis lends itself to feeling like a giant gnome in the woods, not that far away from the tourist hustle of Alberobello. We had the unique experience of making proper Puglian oricheiette with Nonna Maria who taught us how to to make several other regional dishes, all with the wonderful trulli surroundings. We wish we had time for the bike tour, the market tour and the other great things they had on offer. The kitchen garden is amazing and the animals on the farm were great for entertaining the kids. The evening meals on offer were delicious. The trulli dei bosco is is a great place for several families to get together for a few days or a week as well as couples to just relax away from everything. For those who don’t want to escape reality there is wifi in the communal room. We only wish we had stayed longer. Thanks to Andrea, Giuseppe and Nonna for a true Puglian experience.”

“Beautiful quiet place away from everything. Trulli was immaculate and comfortable. Andrea and his parents were always smiley and helpful! It is a very child friendly place The location and surroundings are very pleasant and relaxing. The pool is lovely me and me son took the bikes to ride around the area to explore the woods nearby. If we have the opportunity we definitely come back. Thanks to the lovely and friendly hosts. They really care for people!! See you next time.”

“This is a special place. Bosco means woods or forest and these old style ‘Trullo’ farmhouses are situated on the edge of one. They have very thick walls and a conical roof/ceiling so are very cool even when it’s roasting outside. Much better than air conditioning. A nice cycle into Alberobello if you like, or better still, relax in this really peaceful retreat. The swimming pool is great too. It struck me that it would be a great place to go to write or gather your thoughts while taking in the rays and enjoying the wonderful hospitality from the Goffredo family. Giuseppe (also a writer and editor) Antonia (who has been a psychologist if I remember rightly) and their son Andrea (who studied philosophy) are lovely people. They can’t do enough for you. We hadn’t asked for a meal to be prepared for us the first night, vaguely thinking that we’d check out the restaurants in town, but it was a Sunday and rural Italy just grinds to a halt on Sunday. So very late in the day we asked if anything was possible. No problem. A while later the table was groaning with food as we dined al fresco. Bliss. We also did a bit of shopping in Alberobello and cooked for ourselves. And there’s a great wine shop there. Very reasonable and great advice. Paco’s, on Via Montenero. We also went to Rome and Positano on the Amalfi coast on our trip, but here was where we really felt on holiday. No stress, and a great jump off point to explore Puglia in general.”

“From the minute we made the booking, to the minute we arrived on our first night, through our entire stay, we were made to feel beautifully at home by the wonderful host, Andrea. He welcomed us so well and genuinely, and as a group of six, all instantly relaxed knowing that we were being taken care of by him. The trulli has so much charm. So adorable! Quite unlike anything else! The pool was not open when we were there and it was too cold to go in to be honest. But the rest was great, as was our home cooked meal which we opted for one night. Authentic and delicious! The location was also a great place for us to travel from and explore other areas such as Martina Franca, etc. Can see it would be a great place for couples, families and friends. We all truly loved the trulli ! Grazia Andrea!”

“Thank you Andrea for a wonderful stay at your place. We loved it. Perfect for families with young children – beautiful gardens, great pool, chickens and donkeys, fresh fruit from the trees and amazing home-cooked food. We could not have been happier. Hope to return soon!”

“We were welcomed by Andreas’ father who showed us to our trulli. The family prepared for us the most delicious meal with most of the ingredients from their own garden. It is a wonderful location for exploring Puglia. Andrea gave us useful information about some of the nicer areas to visit and even where to find the cheaper car parking. We had hired a car which made exploring easier, though they do have bikes available if you prefer to be more active. There is a lovely pool with plenty of chairs, loungers and umbrellas. Around the grounds there are lots of lovely areas to sit and read, take in the surroundings or listen to the piece and quite. The trulli itself was well equipped with cooker, coffee pot and plenty of pans etc. It was lovely to sit outside in the evening. Breakfast is provided in a separate breakfast room with a good variety of cereal, bread, home made biscuits, home grown fruit etc. There was always plenty. If you do decide to stay I would recommend booking a meal. It was possibly the best meal in our 10 day stay in Puglia. Thank you!”

“It is one of our most amazing stays ever. Brilliant service (Andrea is a fantastic host, extremely helpful, smart and cheerful chap), beautiful location, all amenities, the pets, everything about this farm house like place was terrific. Strongly recommended.”

“Nine of us visited the lovely Trulli el Bosco to celebrate my Dads 60th birthday and we had an amazing time. Andrea and his family made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. We ate one lunch and one dinner at the Trulli in a lovely room overlooking the beautiful scenery. The food was cooked by Andrea’s family and was all local produce and absolutely delicious. They even made us a lovely cake for my dad! On one day Andrea drove us to a nearby village called Locorotondo for a day out – I’d definitely recommend! The Trulli were very cute and had everything you would need. The pool was also lovely for cooling off in the afternoon! Couldn’t recommend this place any more :)”

“Just got back from a wonderfully relaxing stay at Trulli del Bosco. Andrea, and his family, were such helpful and welcoming hosts and Andrea made sure that we were given plenty of useful information regarding the area, with suggestions for places to visit and dine out . On arrival at 8pm we had asked for a meal, which was an absolute feast and delicious, containing organically home grown ingredients. What appealed to us most about this holiday was the location ,which being in an oak forest, was so quiet. I have always wanted to experience staying in a trullo and absolutely loved it. We stayed in Nonna Maria trullo and found it well equipped, with basic cooking equipment, a comfy bed and a small bathroom with shower .The outside area has a patio with seating which is private for the occupants. The gardens, and areas within the property ,are well laid out allowing access to find a personal space of one’s own to just sit, listen to nature and dream! My husband enjoyed time in the pool during our week here which always looked clean and tempting. The trulli are located a short drive from Alberobello and a walk there took us around 25 mins at a leisurely pace. We hired a car and spent some days out visiting the towns of Matera, Locorotondo, Ostuni and Cisternino. Each wonderfully interesting. We felt that the Trulli del Busco are ideally situated to enjoy sightseeing to these places, if having access to a car. I fully recommend this trulli listing to anyone seeking relaxation and solitude in this part of Puglia. A BIG THANK YOU!”
